Arian Fornaris, developer of Phaser Editor, joins the Phaser Studio team

Published on 4th January 2024

We’re very excited to announce that Arian Fornaris, the developer of the popular Phaser Editor 2D, has joined the team at Phaser Studio.

Arian has been developing the desktop Phaser Editor 2D app for over eight years. It provides a rich set of visual tools that Phaser developers can use to craft their games, from easily editing a Scene layout to creating complex animations to visually configuring physics properties.

His role as a full-time Senior Tools Engineer will see him continue to develop Phaser Editor 2D, adding exciting new features to the package and bringing the tools online to the Phaser site so that they can be used by everyone.

Existing users of Phaser Editor 2D will continue receiving the same support and updates as before. The only difference is that Arian can now dedicate even more time to the project and will work with the rest of the team on new features and improvements.

Current lifetime license holders will be freely migrated to the new version of the editor, which will be available to download from the Phaser site in due course.

To protect the integrity of the Phaser Editor 2D project and the years of work that has gone into it, the current desktop version will be released as open source under the MIT license.

The Phaser Studio team is very excited to have him on board and looks forward to sharing more details about our joint plans for the editor in the coming months.
